Women Working Worldwide is a UK-based organisation which works with an international network of women workers.
It focuses on supporting the rights of women working in international production chains which supply the UK and other European countries with consumer goods such as flowers.
Non-governmental organisations from Austria, Belgium, Germany, and Czech Republic have jointly started a campaign to raise awareness on human rights violations and environmental pollution by the global flower industry. The campaign is supported by the Zimbabwean Non-Governmental Organisation Kunzwana and the Uganda Workers' Education Association.
A German-based joint initiative of human rights organisations, trade unions, flower producers and flower retailers the Flower Label Program implements social and environmental standards in flower production.
This short film features the Flower Label Programme and highlights a positive
example of non-exploitative production.
